Only one submission will be accepted, per person, each week. Your first submission will be considered your last, so be sure of your guess before submitting.

Your submission must be in the form of a Latitude and Longitude coordinate. No other formats can be considered.

Points will be awarded according to your distance from the target:​

Closest to the target each week, earns 5 bonus points

Early bird Bonus - The first person to enter each week earns 1 bonus point.

< 1 m - 10 pts,

1 - 4.99 m - 9 pts,

5 - 9.99 m - 8 pts

10 - 24.99 m - 7 pts,

25 - 49.99 m - 6 pts,

50 - 99 m - 5 pts,

100 - 249.99 m - 4 pts

250 - 499.99 m - 3 pts

500 - 1000 m - 2 pts

Results will be published once all entries have been plotted and tabulated. This time may vary from week to week. Each weeks cut-off will be Saturday at midnight (CST)

At the end of the travel season (June 31) the person who has accumulated the most points will have hteir name enshrined on the GeoTrivia Trophy for eternity.

In the event of a tie, 1 week of sudden death will be played between the potential winners. Closest to the mark will win the season. All decisions by the administrator of this site are considered final and will not be subject to appeal.

The Administrator reserves the right to add or modify rules when problems arise that I hadn't thought of and I need to fix things. I'm basically making this up as I go along - rest assured, I've forgotten something!
